Objectives

Jean Paul Gaultier, the provocative fashion designer, asked us to boost the appeal of his perfume range right before Valentine’s Day in a campaign that reflects his cheeky persona.

Strategy & Execution

Using a universal gesture for love, made famous by the French, and turn into an art: the Art of the French Kiss. 

Based on the DNA of 6 different perfumes, we imagined 6 different kissing styles. After selecting a style and a partner through the user’s Facebook friend list, the app generates a personalized video of a steamy kiss between the user and their chosen friend. 

The video could be shared through Facebook, Twitter or email, encouraging the recipient to visit the Jean Paul Gaultier website.

Results

  • +80% unique visitors on the Gaultier website

  • 450,000 videos generated in the first week

  • +30% traffic on the ecommerce website

  • The campaign was widely talked about on social media, in countless online articles, and even on TV!
